Blocked west view

Hi All,

I am in an apartment with a completely blocked west view of the sky. Will most satellites still work?

First, you will need to get a compass. Then you need to get the program Satfinder:

http://www.arachnoid.com/satfinder/

This will tell you the aiming angles for your area. Then you can see how many satellites are blocked.

I have a blocked view to the west due to the roofline and chimney but I can still get most sats. Being on the west coast helps too since there isn't a whole lot further west of me that I can pick up.
