A large portion of that $15 million will be used to place the world's largest high-definition video display in the center-field scoreboard. Construction has already begun on the massive structure. The Mitsubishi Diamond Vision, which will be highly visible throughout the stadium, will provide video, statistical info and animation.
 
Purely hype. If you are more than about 4 picture heights away, you can't see the resolution improvement, meaning the damned thing would have to be about 200 feet on the diagonal or better for folks behind home plate to even see the difference. They should put that money towards making the games available in our living rooms in HD instead.
