I have a brother that just got sent over to Iraq. He emailed me and said that a guy that was just sent back home had satellite T.V. Does anyone here know of a way to get satellite TV in Iraq. Any help will be greatly appreciated. If I have to I will order from the states for him.

I sold a FTA system last year to someone who took it with them to Iraq (maybe the same guy!). They got the dish there, lots of FTA channels over there. Before they got the satellite they all sat round a 2" TV. Receivers are also pretty small to ship, good luck and please thank your brother for his service.
Well, whenever I watch Iraqi coverage on TV, the towns all seem to have tons of DBS dishs on the roofs. So, I'd have to say they sure do have DBS over there. I'm sure someone has links to which satellites you can use from there.
