Broadlogic query

Thinking of getting my first fta set up. Been looking into a Broadlogic 2030 pci with card slot. Are subscription cards available in the U.S.? Do I need to get a cam for the slot ? I've seen a picture of it and it looks like something is missing. Thanks for any help,JG.

Unless you have a purpose to use the 2030, I would not purchase one. There are many better cards out there to use. CA slots are pretty useless in the US, there are not many providers here that use them. Most DVB cards are for TRUE FTA.

I wanted to use a ca card because I was under the impression their subscriptions are much less expensive than for my 4DTV receiver or Dish etc. Thanks for the info,very helpfull.

you wont be able to sub that card to 4dtv, for one it doesnt tune DGII.

DN and bev and all the other DTH providers in NA wont allow their card to be used in that ca slot either.

Kind of figured that. Notice you've got a Toshiba. Know where I can get a remote. I think mine is an 1800 or 1820? ,without going to look. Thanks,Jg.
