Buckle up! L2.50 to spool for 522 and 625 on June 29

I keep hoping to find this on my receivers and it has yet to show up. Does 2.51 really exist? :)

Brad

Yeah, it exists, on the unsubscribed parts-box I have. For some reason (low R00 number I suspect) that one always gets it first.

If 2.51 did not go out to everyone, there must be a problem with it. Since it is working well for me, I suspect that it is not screwing up enough to meet Dish's standards.

It's in limited release, meaning that if no major problems are found it will eventually go widespread. If major problems are found, they will probably launch another limited release.

LOL - now that's the spirit!

Got my new software last night :)

Quick way to check is pull up the guide - there is now a "TV Guide" logo at the top.

New features include...
• Set default padding of shows (no need to change to 0/0 every time you create a new event timer).
• Maximum Recorded Events, automatically removes oldest unprotected events after 1-25 episodes, or keep them all.
• Edit already created timers.

 That was the first thing I looked for and noticed thanks to a previous post. The new "TV Guide" logo is at the top of the screen in the middle - between the banner and the preview window. Maybe you have a different guide display setting that has always shown the "TV Guide" logo?

According to that report there is no L2.50 in stream - only L2.51

This has been established. They changed the version number one day after calling it L2.50.

Chad,
You are correct. I have the "TV Guide" logo downstairs on my 811 (running 2.89). Upstairs on my 522 I do not have the "TV Guide" logo (running 2.39) my mistake.

I finally got L251 a couple of days ago, have not yet noticed a single pixelization or audio dropout. Maybe they finally fixed the biggest problem? I also notice that DVR events are remaining sorted now.

Smith: Where, if you don't mind disclosing, do you find info like this?
