BVN on SES-1 bird is now true 16:9 wide screen format!

For BVN fans, there is no more letter box on your wide screen!!

Right now they are sending in 16:9 with 480i video format.

But I do wish they do send in native 576i or just upconverted to 1080i in 50 Hz or 60 Hz.

Other wish list is English subtitling. "Just like the U.S. Close Captioning system that we have here"

Cool! I think all SD channels should be sent in this format. Makes 'em actually watchable! 4:3 needs to finish dying....the sooner the better.

Does anyone know if they intend to stay on SES-1? At one point they announced that they'd be moving to SatMex, and the last time I checked they were up there, but it's been a few months since they were supposedly leaving SES-1.

Caught some real "Wacky Races" there a few weeks back. Cars pulling old campers, others racing backwards, just plain crazy stuff.
