Hi, does any body out there have the hd decoder for the 4dtv unit how much of a difference does the thing make as far as making the standard definition picture look better than without it.

The HDD decoder sucks as a line doubler, I would not use it.

I would say about any device that doubles resolution from a native 480i image is going to make it look worse. Kind of like doing Youtube videos "full screen".
