Hello all,

I need some help with some questions. I am getting a ku-band setup for galaxy 19 next week.

I can get a free 6 foot c band dish from ny neighbor if i want it

Question is is it worth setting up a cband dish anymore?

I just want FTA programming and I live in NJ..Any help would be appreciated

Majority of C-band owners agree that there is more stuff on C-band than KU. If you can get a C-Band dish for free, by all means go for it.

What kind of receiver would I need to move it and I how would i know that i would be able to get the c-band satellites?

DO i need to get a site survey?

Right now, I'd wait for the Geosat Pro MicroHD to be (shortly) released by SatelliteAV. Site sponsor, "card" on top of pages here. I'd also update the feed to a new style LNBF.
to move it
A G-Box or V-Box can interface with the receiver to move the dish. OR an old analog receiver can be implemented

Right now, the sun is very close to the satellite arc. If you have an area that's in full sunlight from sun up to sundown. That's where to put the dish(s). More accurately, use the Sun Outage Calculator and pin the time down.
