need help i am trying to set up a c-band system, i have a 30inch pansat dish will this dish work for c-band ?? i live in usa florida. i was told to get a conical scalar ring feedhorn i guess this is and a lnb that its compatible with this so will this work and what kind of reciver should i use and acuator i want to go the cheapest route i can go thanks.

Most C-band needs a considerably larger dish.
Was there some particular satellite/signal you wanted?
If it's a really strong one, you might try, but for general usage, that dish is too small.

The guys getting passable results are using 1 meter dishes (around 39 or 40 inches)
For better performance 1.2 meters (48 inches) is much safer.
If you do go with an offset feed dish of any size, be sure to snag a conical scalar while the deal is still available.

It's not a matter of receiving a signal, as much as it is rejecting all the strong signals from nearby satellites.
Such a small dish just sees too much of the sky (too many satellites at once).

edit:
Here you go. This post has some helpful background material for you.
