what's the costs for cable tv in the US?

Here in Germany we pay between 11,- € and 15,- € per month for 30 analoge FTA channels and 30 digital FTA channels. We don't need a decoder for it. We only need cable in the house. For 9,- € more we get up to 30 extra channels from "Cable Digital" like "Extreme Sports", "North American Sports Network", "Nat. Geo.", some MTVs (MTV hits, MTV dance, MTV Germany, MTV2 POP Germany, VH-1 classic), a weather channel and other channels. For 5,- € up to 55,- € we get digital PayTV "Premiere" with many movie channels, 2 sports channels, lifestyle and some other programs.

Happy 4th July! :)
