Trying to camp with direct tv, I have found an 18" oval single LNB direct tv dish. I have an HDTV receiver. Can these work together?

They will work, but you will be very limited in programming, I just returned from 5 days hunting with a Phase III with a AU9 LNB with pretty good results... takes a little more tweaking but less than using a Slimline. you might look around for a Phase III so you will at least get the SD channels.

I dual output single LNB dish will work just fine for the SD channels on 101. Just select the correct dish when you re-run sat setup.

He has a HD Recvr. will he want ALL his HD programming ?
If so he'll need to go to a slimline or something that will get the KU as well as the KA.

I'm using a SWM-3 on a tripod with my HR-22 in my motorhome. No problem setting it up. It now takes me about 10 minutes and I'm up and going. HD all the time.
