Hey folks,

Is it possible to remote control the ViP-622 by IP? I'm not talking about setting up recordings, etc. like the DishOnline service is supposed to provide. I'm talkin about using a WiFi remote control to control the functions of the receiver (or get 2-way communications with the receiver).

Basically, I purchased a programmable universal touch-screen remote control that supports WiFi and I'd like to program it to do many of the things the current remote can do. So, instead of using infra-red, I'd like for it to use IP.

Is this possible? If so, where can I get the documentation to do this?

Thanks,

You'll need an RX9400 and the IR codes for your 622 remote and the remote channel you have the 622 set to.

You can't talk to the 622 directly over the IP network because it isn't listening.
