I have a Fortec Mercury 2. Connected to a 10 feet BUD. My DMS LNBF went bad. I got a Chaparral C/Ku band. Is there a way to move the diode inside by connecting the polorotator cables to somehting. The Fortec can not do it, and I do nto have a Pansat Receiver.

What are my options other than buying a new LNBF?

you can build a switch its mentioned here in the forums but you also have to remember that lnb's usually want a slightly higher voltage than lnbf's if you look at the lnb's they will tell you the voltage range most are like 15 volts to 24 volts underpowering them might cause them to fail prematurely

other options bullseye corotor
new lnbf ( this is probably the cheapest option
a dvb receiver than can control a corotor ( usually pansats or clones of pansats)

although its nice to keep the system all in one some of us have seperate c-band & ku systems at the price for the dual c-band lnbf's ( got some in the last deal for $13 each) its worth it sometimes.

gabshere, what do you mean by: some of us have seperate c-band & ku systems ?

You mean instead of having a DMS 621-2 LNBF to have like a Chaparral LNB?

i have two c-band dishes and two ku dishes ( they are seperate systems)
i also have two bsc621 i'm not using right now
i also have a corotor that isn't setup
