I live in the caribbean and have a 6 foot satellite dish. i have an account with dish network. I just bought a new 722vip dvr receiver, a dish pro dual lnbf and a dp34 switch on ebay. I have used a single lnb with an old dvr dish tv receiver for years and it works great. wanted a new dvr. i need to know if i can use the dual lnbf on the big 6 foot dish. i don't care if i only get sat 119 but would be great to see if i can get both sats. i know the dish tv dishes have a special shape to pick up the two sats on one dish but I only have the big dish on my roof. it is needed to pick up the satellites from the caribbean. any help would be greatful

Does your "dual" have two LNBs and an internal switch? If so, it's properly called a "twin". The "dual" is a single LNB with two outputs.

So, the answer is that you likely cannot use a twin on your 6' dish because you have to sit at the focal point with your LNBs. You could buy two (or three) duals and get them to work with a switch such as your DP34. But you would have to figure out where the focal points are for the 2 or 3 sats you're trying to receive.
