I would like to get rid of my land line but have 2 DVRs that use it one of the DVRs have a jack for CAT the other does not (625).

It is a dual tuner DRV - there is a $5 monthly fee waived if it is connected to a phone line.

If it is not connected you pay the $5.

The only dual tuner receiver I know that does not have a fee is the 721.

Other than that ALL DUAL TUNER RECEIVERS have a $5 fee.

That $5 fee is waived if the receiver "phones home" at least once a month.

SOME 622 and 722 receivers (the ones that have the new VOD feature - all 622/722 will have it eventually) can now use an internet network connection instead of a phone line.

It is a total fiasco on my VIP622. Or more like a catdog :)

HDPPV movies can be ordered via ethernet.

OnDemmand movies CANNOT be ordered via ethernet.

The monthly nonconnection fee still applies if you are only
connected via ethernet.

Thank you Unibrow-Shaved-Off-In-The-Middle HDLittle CEO :)

I cannot give up my $40/mo two line free US-Canada-PR $0.05/min
to Europe Nuvio VOIP for this.
