HERE TO HELP YOU!
The CRTC, the country's TV watchdog, unveiled a report on cable unbundling that recommends how cable and satellite TV providers could be forced to increase choice and flexibility for consumers.
The regulator proposes allowing "subscribers to select all discretionary programming services on a stand-alone basis (pick-and-pay)."

Don't hold your breath. Bell owns Canada, Bell buys from USA. Pretty much everyone but Shaw buys from Bell. Sorry guys and gals but USA/Canada is lost to the dominance of Comcast/Universal/NBC, Disney, Viacom and FOX.

You'll have to go to EU if you want some freedom of selection in your FTA and pay choices.

Keep on smokin' Hollywood Reporter. The federal government doesn't fart unless Bell, Rogers or Shaw say so. For those who don't understand, these three control all telecommunications in Canada and since each operate in their own territory .....there's no competition.

They own the channels, they distribute the channels along with internet, phone and cell services.

Besides high taxes, the CRTC is the other tragedy in this country. Ie- as if am going to lose my " identity" if I watch American tv and commercials...but watching the same shows off a canadian station is ok......
