Cancelation fee (Helping friend)

I have a friend who has had DirecTV for 2+ years and added a 3rd non advanced receiver recently. 2 questions:

1. What is the commitment on adding a standard reciver (non HD, non DVR)?

2. What would the cancelation fee be if they leave DirecTV now. 3 months after adding this non advanced receiver?

Edit: They were charged a $360 cancelation fee. All 3 IRD's were listed as leased on the bill.

I ended up instructing him to call retensions. Told him to ask to talk to a supervisor. I told him to keep his cool and explain the situation (not being told that it would extend his contract at the time it was activated).

The supervisor gladly reversed the $360 cancelation fee and informed to make sure he returns the equipment when he gets the prepaid return boxes.

I guess it all comes down to how you handle yourself if you know who to talk to. Thanks for the help stonecold.
