For a time, I worked in a small town in NC. Lot's of yankees retired there, for the lower taxes and overall lower cost of living. Of course, they immediately looked at how things were done locally, and said, "Up north, the way we did it was...." The local response was basically something along the lines of "go back" or more politely something to the effect that the reason their taxes were so high was that they did things that way. So of course, the below bumper sticker was popular (sorry, but I thought it needed some explanation).
I don't care how you did it up north.
