Can't jump ahead in recording with DIRECTV app?

I currently don't have DIRECTV, but am considering coming back.

I seem to remember that when you stream a recording using Genie Go you had to watch from the beginning and could not jump ahead if the the recording is still in process.

Does this restriction still exist?

For me, the Genie Go is a must have, deal breaker kinda thing. Currently I use a TiVo and their app on cable TV. TiVo's app allows you to jump ahead in active recordings. My cable co is getting too aggressive with the copy protection which inhibits the TiVo app from streaming recordings.
