Unfortunately I only have pictures of the first.

So the first one to ID is a circa-2000, Zenith branded mesh 10 footer
one panel replaced
Von Weise actuator, unknown length, 24-36V
Zenith ZS6100 LNBC on a Chapparal Polar-rotor. (Google yields nothing on LNBC)
Estimated 50 Feet of ribbon cable.
Previous owner threw in a Eagle Aspen 17/20 degree LNBC that didn't work as well as the Zenith.

Picked it up Free with $99 Motorola DSR-922
DSR-922 was brand new in May 2005
ID's matched for DCII but couldn't check VC2 since it wasn't hooked up.
It came with 2 UHF remotes

The owner of the above one gave me a lead to another (on the way home as well :))
An early 90's KTI mesh kit (supposedly from Costco, when they still carried them)
Extra info was that it was bought right as VC2+ came out.
I wish I had pictures of this one. Above a motor-home shed, 10 foot x 6 inch concrete filled with a 2 foot piece of 3 inch pipe sticking up for the mount.
55 degree Gardiner LNBC on a Chapparal polar-rotor
Unknown actuator as label is faded. (No weather boot)
100+ feet of ribbon cable
Total cost 25$

Both were 4 panel dishes that look like 12-panel from anywhere but close up.
No labels on the dishes or mounts.
Both mounts take 3.5" Pipe. Ugh

Ask for where you want the pics taken.

The DSR-922 is out of my hands for the week.
Dad insisted that he get to slave it to his motorized Ku system and see what he could find.
Yes I told him to keep it away from 107.3W and 111.1W

And the icing on it all. SWMBO doesn't remember telling me that I could have one.:mad::mad:
EDIT: SWMBO decided to jerk me by the chain for 24 hours. Hahaha :eek:

Pics after I get some more shots of the KTI equipment.
Nevermind the Pictures of the Actuator motor labels as well as the Gardiner label refuse to come out anything but blurry today.

The second to last pic is the only shot for now of the mounts.
KTI is closer with the Zenith a behind it.

Does anybody know anything interesting about them?
Both 'Fizzle and I hadn't made it into the first grade yet when the KTI was bought.

I didn't know Zenith made dishes!
And they were $1000-$1400 for the eight foot models. Real shocker :D

Zenith did not make dishes, Winegard made 'em and they stuck thier name on it.

Winegard is a good dish KTI is also know as kaultronics inc

Huh, you're younger than my younger brother.

I just pulled the KTI's receiver out to do some poking about
But almost all of the original documentation is there.

KTI 10.5 foot Quad antenna ( not the same but similar, mine doesn't have the innermost rib)
J.G.S. Actuator
Chaparral Polarotor I E
Uniden UST-9900 with no remote
VideoCipher II RS inside the IRD
VideoCipher board on a box

The Costco Kit cost 1399.99 in.....1989  :shocked

Zenith bought their dishes from Winegard and their mounts from Ajax for the horizon-to-horizon action then painted them with a cheap black paint instead of the powdercoat paint used by Winegard. I think their receivers and actuators were made by Channel Master.

that cheap black paint may hold up better, powdercoat tends to flake on aluminum if it gets bent or dented

Well I think I figured out what the KTI is...

The KTI is a Unimesh according to the pictures Inno left here:
http://www.satelliteguys.us/c-band-satellite-discussion/178775-picked-up-10-unimesh.html#post1864120
The difference seems to be his is a buttonhook, while the one I picked up is a 4-arm LNB holder

So on that Friday I picked up:

Motorola DSR-922 ($99)
Winegard 10-foot (Zenith-branded, 1 repaired panel, circa 1998)
Chaparal polarotor using a Zenith LNB (need documentation on this LNB)
Von Weise 18" actuator (24V-36V)
Spare EagleAspen C-band LNB (unknown if 17k or 20k, circa 2005, owner said it worked worse than Zenith LNB)

Uniden UST-9900 Analog/VC2 receiver ($25, no remote, therefore useless as dish mover controls are on remote)
Unimesh 10.5 foot (KTI-branded, pristine mesh, circa 1989)
Chaparal polarotor using a Gardiner 55k LNB
JGS 24" actuator

Later: Picture of one of the KTI panels

Inno, I got it late Saturday
It was too late for me to get anything done with it. ;)
Thanks again, I'll test it out on both of the actuators this morning.
And then you'll need to check your Paypal. I'll PM you after I've done all that.

My father confirmed the brick was the about same weight as his original. :D

If anyone is wondering, I asked Inno to send me the separate Uniden UST-710 Actuator controller back in March. It came just in time for me to put it to some real use! :)

My father bought a Uniden UST-730 with his kit back in the day but we lost the power supply a few years back.
It is the same as the UST-710 but has memory and touchpad to call up the satellite positions in the same scheme as the 4DTV system.
