CBS local station audio drops issue. Is it me?

I've noticed for months now, maybe longer, that my OTA CBS channel occasionally lose sound for a few seconds (3-5) and does a very quick video freeze, usually lasting a second or two. My antenna is on top of my house and there is no obvious obstruction in the direction of the TV towers. The NBC and ABC towers are basically next to the CBS transmitting tower and I never have had any sound losses or freeze ups on those channels. Furthermore other local non-descript channels don't do it either.
I've noticed this issue live and on recorded CBS programs.
I have a Hopper 3 with 3 Joeys.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

Have you contacted the channel about your problem?

What is your OTA signal strength on the offending channel?

Does it fluctuate?

What RF channel?

Does it occur when the antenna is connected directly to your TV?

Any large structures to either side of the signal pathway that might cause multi-path?

I have exactly the same issue at my house. It also includes the Fox station which is housed in the same building and run by the same folks as the CBS station. It happens on multiple TV's, different antennas, live or recorded on either my Tivo or my Wally. I've tried talking with the station engineer about it, he says it must be my equipment. I have very strong signals on both channels.

I've just learned to live with it and choose other hills to die on.

I'm getting the Beaumont stations.

No I have not contacted the channel. I assume that would be a futile attempt ending with them blaming my equipment.
My OTA signal strength for this channel (042-1) stays pegged at 100% (so does the other locals, ABC, NBC, CW)
RF channel?
No large structures on either side.
I haven't connected the antenna to my TV because it is unpredictable as to when and how often it occurs and would require me sitting for long periods of time in front of the TV. It's annoying but not sure yet if I want to commit to doing that step at this time (maybe later).

I'm getting the Beaumont stations.

It is the local station. I think it is the encoder they are using since it effects both CBS and Fox on the same broadcasting tower. I live in Nederland 10 miles from Beaumont and my ota signal is experiencing the same thing you are describing. Call channel 6 KFDM/CBS and report it to the engineer/manager. I have seen it on my Tablo as well as my ota antenna hooked to my TV too.

I guess I need to find the number for my local CBS station and report it as well. I just thought it'd be futile and they'd say, it's your equipment
