Here's my rule of thumb in today's world where news is entertainment.
Breathless delivery in the "can you believe it" style is rumor.
Real news is is delivered without emotion.
Real news can be boring. Boring is the kiss of death to the entertainment industry.
At the end of the day we have to choose between boring reality or emotional entertainment.

Granted. If the news reader plays on emotions, that warrants caution.

Let's say the news reader is emotionless.
Doesn't that lead to the possibility of confusing style with substance?

Just did a blind rescan of G17 c-band and am noticing many new channels I was not getting before -- including Fox fuel and speed channels. There's also a new Nat Geo Wild channel.

So they changed the line-up a little, but the FOX variety is still great!!!
