CinemaPlus question

I have Direct coming to install Thursday(switch from Dish).I am getting The whole home setup with CinemaPlus. I was just wondering what exactly does the CinemaPlus deal with?

If its just for VOD and PPV then I dont know if I will have it hooked up because I have Netflix and I never buy PPV.

Also, I have been reading ALOT of stories about the Direct recievers how they can be really slow to respond and how they screw up recordings. Its making me alittle cautious about switching. So you all let me know... how are the recievers REALLY? HD DVR and HD recievers.

Yes, Cinemaplus is there VOD/PPV...As far as the HDDVR's HR 24 is great, in regard to just HD Recievers I have had no issues, there latest non DVR HD recievers have improved.

VOD works good and does much more than just PPV. Only works on the HR receivers.

The receivers aren't as slow as some talk, they are better than most any cable DVR, but not quite as good as Dish. Dish's HD-DVR hardware is pretty much best in class.
