Have heard of Nomad. Now the Internet buzz about something called co-pilot from Direct. Anyone have any info on what exactly this is??

new mobile app? MediaBiz

BTIG's Richard Greenfield has raves for DIRECTV's mobile app. Co-Pilot, he says, "is a re-imagining of set-top box navigation" that far outstrips the Comcast's iPad app. Co-Pilot is slated for launch next month with functionality that enables favorite channels only viewing plus channel category set ups. In addition, Greenfield says, "We suspect there will be categories created by DTV that you can edit, categories you can create on your own and we would not be surprised to see the ability to share favorites/custom channel sorts with friends via e-mail, Facebook, Twitter, etc."

Not until Nomad comes around.

Thanks for the info charper!

Co-pilot has been renamed the DIRECTV iPad app and is just going into final beta testing now.
That's the new name? Ick.

If it has "iPad" in the name, does that mean there's no Android version?

Or will DIRECTV have an app in the Android Marketplace named "DIRECTV Android App" that provides the Co-Pilot functionality? It would seem to be poor branding by DIRECTV to not have the mobile app names in sync across all mobile platforms...

Scott G... I really am curious to see if you have any information about Directv's plans for the Android side...
