What coax cable should I run from my satellite to my DP34 (through a ground block of course)? Should it be RG11 or RG6? I see that the Dishstore sells

Commscope makes the best quality RG 6 cable anywhere!

1000ft of Commscope RG 6 Black Coax

Perfect for any satellite system install!

What would a Professional Dish installer use? In another installation that was done by a Dish contractor they used some pretty stiff white coax, I am guessing that it was RG11.

Does the coax have to be rated something special to be run outside to the dish?

thanks,

SciFiGuy

I the coax run is over 500ft. I would consider using RG-11 because of the lower signal loss. RG-6 is what is normally used. Commscope does make good cable.
