I have two outdoor OTA antennas. Would there be any advantage of combining their feedlines into a single cable to connect to my HDTV? Would this strengthen my OTA signal without the need for an amplifier? If so, how do I combine feedlines?

If both antennas are to be pointed in the same direction, they had better be identical or the results are highly likely to be worse than what you'd get from a single antenna. If you're thinking about aiming in different directions, antenna couplers and even reversed splitters can be used successfully in some locations; in others, the viewer needs a rotor (for one antenna) or an A/B switch (for two).

Have a look at this somewhat technical discussion for more about what you'd like to do.
