Greetings, Have seen a Comcast tv spot with Jim Calhoun, UConn bb coach, here in western Mass/ CT . Ad has been on quite a bit. What's interesting is part of the voice over states Comcast has more HD choices than satellite. Marketing ploy or what ?? How do they do this?
Also, in a unrelated subject, Fox airing a spot for HD DVD by Toshiba. Thought they down and out, saw it during American Idol--oops, did I say that out loud????

HD-DVD still make great coasters - so not down yet.....

Comcast counts all there on demand HD. So each music video they offer in HD counts as a channel to them. Have a 100 HD music videos - now they offer more content in HD then DTV.

Thanks silvia2112- that makes more sense. The ad has really been buggin' me.

Yup 1000 HD Vod selections, not 1000 HD channels.

After you watch just one of their 1000 "choices" that means they only have 999 choices left. The more you watch the less choices you have (unless you like watching the same thing over and over again) :D
