I just got my bill and I am wondering if I am getting charged double.. I have 3 TV's with 2 of them having HD-DVR's attached.

I see 2 of these lines in the bill.
Digital Add'l Outlet Svc 6.95
Includes: Digital Additional Outlet,Digital Converter And Digital Remote.

I then see 2 of these..
Comcast DVR/HDTV Package 9.95
Includes: Digital Video Recorder Service With One High Definition TV.

Since I only have 1 box per TV how can I be charged $17 per HD-DVR unit? Or is that how they screw us over some more?

So is it 10$ for the DVR features that I am getting hit with per TV?

Got to love cable.:D Thats why I don't have.
Look at it like this:
6.95 = cable box & remote
9.95 = DVR service
For each tv. Try Fios it's even worse.:eek:

Makes sense after I moved and made a phone call. They charge $6.95 per digital outlet after the first. I would guess that you also have a digital cable box on your third TV.

Each HD DVR costs $9.95 (HD box with no DVR is $5)

When I moved, the fees not discussed where some of these additional costs. I phoned in about them, but they said they were standard. I was refunded one month of those charges to allow me the chance to change if I wanted.

Its not alot different than what Satellite does too. They charge an additional $5 per receiver whether you own it or not after the first.

Comcast went up Jan 1 from 9.95 for a dvr to 11.95 a/o dvr 16.90 That is 2.00 for the first box and 7.00 for the 2nd box more each month.

How is satellite much of an advantage? I invested $400+ into an HD box and TiVO box when I was with DirecTV and still had the privilege of paying $5 a box for equipment that I already own!

Well I have E* and my bill went up $ .95 when I went to a DVR.
Well I had to two IRD's and I took one off. So for this lets just say it went up $5.95
I paid $185 for my 625, but it does two tvs independently.
If I was with cable:
Look at it like this:
6.95 = cable box & remote
9.95 = DVR service
For each tv.
$16.95 x 2 = $33.80
I've had it a almost a year so that would be $405.60:eek: (with cable).
So with E*
$5.95 for service fee x 12 = $71.40
DVR625 = $185.
Total for a year $256.40 If I did it for 4 years I could make you even sicker.
So you do the math and tell me and my last unit is well over 5 years old. So why would I want to go back to cable?:confused:
Nevermind my pq blows away cablevision's sd pq. Thats the number one reason I can't stand cablevision.
This works for me it may not work for someone else.
