Comet channel recordings disappearing

I have been taping Quantum Leap on the Comet channel and noticed that the number of shows being taped is capped at 20 shows. Every time a new show tapes the earliest taped show disappears. I have never seen this happen before with Dish Network shows. I currently have a Hopper 3.

Anyone have any idea what is happening?

You can select how many recordings are saved
1) On the DVR menu select the Timers tab
2) Select the timer you want to edit
3) Select Edit Timer
4) Scroll down to the Keep box
5) The choices are:
All Events, 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,10,15, or 20
You need to change it from 20 which is the default to All Events

Wow, thank you. I have had dish for over 20 years and have made hundreds of timers and I never had that happen before. I honestly never even looked at the option before.

Hm. I just looked at ALL of my timers and they were all changed to keep 20 events only. Is there a master setting. I have zero idea how this happened.

OK, I just found the master recorder settings. It was set at 20. However I never go into that area and would not have changed this on my own.

And now I have 105 timers to change manually. WTF?

Yes you can change the Timer Defaults
1) Hit the Home button twice and select Settings
2) Select Timer Defaults
3) In the Keep Box select All

You can select the defaults for all of your new timers. However you will still need to change the Timer Defaults for your existing timers.
