Confused with HD special event.

Why can I not see the basketball games on HD special event channel? I have the sport package and I was not able to see the game last night or the night before. Also I don't see any video when i'm in the guide on the 811 am i supposed to?

I was wondering the same thing! I have never seen any video on this channel yet it's advertised in Dish's HD advertising as a channel.

I've had the same issue. I think it started when I went from my old 6000 to my new 811 last month. I didn't make any programming changes when I deactivated the 6000. I guess I'm not the only one, then...

Here is the NBA TV (link) schedule of HD events http://www.nba.tv/schedules/national_tv_schedule/NBATVHighDef/. The Dallas games that are not on this list are available in Dallas only. Must be a special deal with Mark Cuban. Not all NBA TV games are in HD. You must have the sports pack or Everything Pack to get the games.

When you into the guide screen is there supposed to be a small video showing the channel you were watching before you went into the guide?

you have to set your guide up to have the video in the top right corner, its in the setup option menu. Do you have a black screen there or just a full guide? if full guide you don't have the channel preview turned on and have to do so through the installation menu...
