Connect Satellite RCA Audio Out to Computer?

Is it possible to connect the audio RCA line out from the satellite receiver directly to a PC's line in port? Or does the satellite audio need to pass through the A/V receiver first for amplification?

You should be able to pass it directly through. Any adjustments should be able to be made on the computer end.

yes, you can take it direct - but you may need an adapter depending on your sound card. But no, you do not need an amp.
