I bought my 1m Winegard/Starchoice off Kijiji. It was first advertised for $50 but I couldn't get it as I was too busy with farmwork. After planting season, it was still there but for $20!. Finally got the time to install it in August ready for the Aussie Rules football playoffs on MHz Worldview. It's pointed at 97w(as seen in picture 2) but I have also pointed it at 101w. I'm hoping to install a motor soon and a gadget like this would save a lot of nerves/yelling:D

Thanks for the contest.

I found my primestar in a ditch while hiking in the woods. I currently have a BSC-421 C-band, JSC322-2 Ku, and an old circular KU (trash find). I'm motored with a SG-6000 and sweep from 61.5ºw- 129ºw. Many channels have changed, the constants have been Bio, History, RTV E/W, PBS Mont., Ion, PMC, Kuwait2, Al Jazeera, plus quite a few occasionals-a-plenty this week.

I keep a pizza dish on 110º/119º for the welcome pack, locals, and Cinemax @ $15/mo.

Looking forward to putting the BSC-421 on a 6' (freebee) dish and acquiring an Azbox or USB-box to start getting some high def feeds.

I don't have much, but I'm having fun working the shhhh out of what I've got.

What an awsome satellite meter to win. I would love to have on of those when I'm out aiming a dish.

I have a motorized 1m primestar that can see 72w-129w. I have a 7.5 foot Sami fixed on 103W for now, hoping to get it motorized. A 90cm on 83w and a 76cm on 30w.

And an 18in dish pointed at 110w for the occasional FTE.

Thanks for another great contest AV.

I have a 12' Orbitron with a Ajak HH motor I use to have a vertical actuator on it for tracking the inclined Sat's but it quit working so I removed it.

The struts on the pole is for the wind we get here. It's not uncommon for the winds to get up to 70 to 100 mph in this area.

The big block of cement is to keep the livestock away form the dish.

I can see satellites from 50 degrees w to 139 degrees w. Can't go any further West because 2 story house is in the way. Nothing over there anyway.

The horse poo in the lower left is not related to the dish.:D

My farm consists of four dishes. Up front in the Pic is a Paraclipse 12 footer with a horizon to horizon mount, then a 1m Primestar dish with a GS120 motor, then on top of that my Directv Dish, then wayyy in the back, my Birdview solid on its horizon to horizon mount. All the dishes, with the exception of the Directv dish, obviously, track from 43w to 139w.

Both of the big dishes run on SatAv C/K-1 C/Ku LNB's, for those of you that are interested, and I enjoy them immensely! :up

Thanks for the contest Brian!

The 90cm ChannelMaster pictured in my avatar tracks from 72 to 129W. Also have an old pizza dish to throw up when things are FTE.

Thanks to all the sponsors for their contests!

Pics from my dish farm.

Photo 1 (left to right) has my Fortec 120cm on a StabHH120 motor. Dish has a Eagle aspen Bandstacked Cband LNB with Conical scaler ring. Next is my T90. It has DN FSS bandstacked lnbs at 74, 79, 87, 97, 101, 105. Sadoun Dual KU lnb at 91w). On the far right, my Fortec 90cm pointing at T12 (hence the low elv :) ). It also has a sadoun Dual KU. Below the T90 are all of my switches (3 4x4 22k and 2 disque 4x1)

photo 2 is my channelmaster 84E. Its pointed at AMC6 (72). its got a Dish FSS lnb.

Still got another T90 that i'd love to put on the roof for some eastern KU sats, but its going to be pretty hard to fine tune that and lug the TV and receiver up (hint hint :) )

If I can get AMC 6 on the active T90, i'm looking to put another 4ft dish where the 84e is. 55-58w for cband would be possible then (current 4ft dish is blocked by trees east of 72W till 30W

My primary dish is a motorized 1 meter with a Invacom LNB capable of seeing satellites from 61.5 to 129 degrees. The background dish is a Primestar dish which I have recently mounted but haven't cabled up yet. I am not sure where I am going to "park" it yet.

There are two Ku motorized dishes that receive satellite signals from 63ºW through 129ºW as well as some fixed Ku dishes that are pointed at 123ºW and 83ºW. On C-band, I have two fixed six footers that are currently pointed at 99ºW and 121ºW as well as a 1 meter mini bud pointed at 116.8ºW

Thanks for sponsoring these contests Brian / Satellite AV!

Here are some of the dishes in my dish farm.

In one pic, I have my 120cm Ku steerable dish that gets 74W to whatever future Ku-band might appear over the mid to eastern Pacific Ocean. The fixed primestar dish is for AMC-1 Ku due to its weird skew.

Another pic shows my primary 10' c-band dish - good from 139 deg W to 91 deg W with the east cutoff due to trees.

The final pic shows a NASA TV fixed dish (10') and a Laux Beta 9 that gets from 131 deg W to 70 deg W that helps to complete my North American arc coverage that the primary 10' dish lacks in the east end.

Put up this Primestar dish (CM 84e) about 6 years ago now. LNB is an old StarChoice from back when they were linear. Mount is upside down to attach the dish to an SG2100 motor which has worked flawlessly despite the dish being beyond it's recommended size limits. Entire arc from horizon to horizon is visible. Using a lowly Coolsat 4000 Pro for viewing and moving.

Here are my only dishes, a 90cm 3abn fixed dish aimed at 97 west and an altered phase III for ITC on 119. They are mounted on the south side of a huge old silver maple tree in my yard. This makes a very solid mount, no problems with wind. Thanks for putting all the samples on here each week!

Thanks for the contests

If I may use my avatar for this entry my motorized 30" is on the roof and I can pick up all the satellites from 72W to 129W.

And if not, here is a pic of my 7.5' mesh that is set up on 103W right now.
Thanks for the contests

Wow, a satmeter with USID! The attached photo shows part of my dish farm: the DN Superdish for my sub, the DTV Slimline with DN FSS for 123 or 129W, and the Direcway minus the Xmtr for 97W.

Much thanks to Brian and SatAV for the contests.

The sats I have goitten are in my signature line, but right now I am watch G25 and AMC4.

I have tried for 4 days to get pictures in, sorry.

Here is a ground view of the dish farm on my flat roof, which is soon to expand to C-Band at ground level. The 3ABN motorized dishes get Ku and DBS from 30w to 129w. The 1 meter Channel Master is at 125w for PBS, and you can also see the Winegard Square Shooter for OTA :) ...
