CoolSat 500 with Dish500 and DN DPLNB

DN 500 + DP 500 LNB + CoolSat 5000 = will it work?

NooB question of the day:

I have a DN500 dish with the DP 500 LNB's....Will this setup work with a CoolSat 5000 receiver?

Brand new to this FTA thing.......Just got a CoolSat 5000 and have a DN500 with DP LNB from old DN account.

What can I expect to get and whart is the LNB parameter for the setup?

The DP LNB will be more bother than its worth, here is what you can get with a regular 18" dish and LNB. (LEGAL CHANNELS)

What would you reccommend for dish and LNB?

scout around, see if you can find an old primestar dish somewhere, those are pretty easy to setup.

Winegard 30" (Or bigger) and the Invacom QPH-031 LNBF it will work with both Linear and Circular signals and has four outputs 2 linear and 2 circular.

you can get a couple channels for free...NASA and Angel One but that's about it. You would need a 30" dish or larger for most FTA
