Costco $180 cash card for Direct TV signup

Hey all,
I'm new to the forum and considering switching from Comcast to direct TV.
I came across this on the costco site and was wondering if anyone had tried it.

I read where some folks had a problem with the referral rebate program because of activation through wrong phone number (which I believe is BS)
But costco is an upstanding company and I can't believe they would have any nonsense with this.
Also they have great deals on TV's and I was hoping to apply the $180 toward the purchase of new TV.
Any thoughts.

Worked absolutely perfect for me--received the gift card in the mail about four weeks after signing up. Be sure to get the $100 referral money too, if you use the Costco link to make the referral from. I took advantage of both offers.

The referral can be gained from a friend who has Direct TV or just one of the nice people on this site.

AAA gives $200 discount. Granted, it is $10 a month for 20 months, but it comes right off the DirecTV bill. You have to call the special number in their magazine.
