I have a few rooms that I wouldn't mind both Dish and Bell in, but there is only one coax going to the bedrooms, and I really don't want to break into the walls to run another. I have both in the LivingRoom, but that was simple as the entertainment center is right above the part of the basement that I run the cable lines from and I just drilled a hole in the floor behind the entertainment center.

Could a DPP-44 be used as such:
Using only Dishpro recievers.
Input 1 - 91 (Bell)
Input 2 - 82 (Bell)
Input 3 - 119 (Dish)
Input 4 - 110 (Dish)
Then in the room, use an "A-B switch" to select with reciever is on the coax for that leg.

Any ideas as to whether this would work?

highly unlikely...because what it wil try to do is load all 4 satellites on both receivers....and since they both use the same frequenceies it would screw up and neither would work

Okay, was hoping the reciever would say "invalid/wrong satellite" for the ones of the other system and ignore them and use it's own.

unfortunatelly not.

One time for gits and shiggles I hooked a line from 119 & 91 connected them with a SW21 and ran it into my 5000. It recognized both but the channels were whacked. I hookd 119 back and did a check switch and all was well :)

ok, thanks. save me the effort of trying.
guess I'll have to pick and choose which goes into which bedroom.

have you thought about putting both receivers in a central spot and running them to the other rooms with channel modualtors?

I have my SC running to all rooms along with the OTA antenna through a modulator. Antenna is their channels, SC is channel 3.

Considered it, but quality is lessened when using a modulator. And I wanted great quality in the family room.
plus the good modulators cost more than a few bucks.
