My microtek receiver has a rs-232 port. Could I make custom epg's or transponder names , or are these just brand specific?

the rs232 port is for updating software (if there is any new available)

I guess we lost more posts last night? , because I remember answering this one, Iceberg basically said the same thing, but I also think you can change the channel lists and satellites/transponders on the receiver.

Usually Channel Master can create/edit channel/satellite/transponder files for most receivers, I don't know much about your receiver specifically.
