Couple O' questions Re:Dealing with DirecTv

Finally got an HDTV Yeahhhh! Let the upgrade journey begin. I've done some reading on this board and have a few questions. What does an A customer rating mean with Directv. I have read many people refer to the "retention" department at Directv. Is that a department they send you to if you threaten to leave or do you call them direct?
 
You can get there either way, I am an A+ customer so I almost always get results so long as my requests or complaints are legit, and even sometimes when they might not be if I don;t go overboard, not sure what their response would be if you are not a high dollar customer. Number is 800-824-9081
 
Im not a high dollar sub and Directv always bends over backwards to take care of me. All I have is total choice plus, locals and HBO -1 HR10-250, 1 standard TIVO and 1 standard receiver. I just call retention everytime after a CSR gave me that number and told me to call it whenever I have questions/problems. :clap
