Cracked Plastic LNB Cover

The plastic cover on one of my new Slimline LNB's is cracked. Will this impair my reception? Can I repair this?

Just being cracked won't hurt, usually. However, moisture getting in will. Try sealing the crack without interfering with its ability to receive the signal.

If you seal the crack (you can do this with silicone) then make sure there is no moisture in the lnbf already. Lnbf's can be had for cheap though. I would not worry about replacing it until it quits working unless you do not want to be out of television programming for the amount of time it takes to get another one.
