Credit card needed?

I got a new HDTV for the family for Christmas and was looking for some HD programming. I looked at Dish and Directs offers and decided that Dish looked the best to me.

I tried to sign up for dish networks latest promotions and they said I didn't qualify. After doing a little searching here and other places I think its because I only have a VISA debit card instead of a credit card.

Is there a way around this requirement with dish?

Does Direct have a similar requirement?

If you have a debit card with the VISA logo on it, then you can use it with Directv. I tried to give this info to you yesterday, but it looks as if for some reason, it was not sent.

Thanks for the info. Sounds like direct wants business more than dish does.
