Current DVR model

We have been experiencing problems with our DVR not recording scheduled programs. One good example is that it will record my wife's soap operas each day expect Tuesday. Other time it just fails to record at all even though the program is new and was previously verified by us to record.

I got off of a chat with TWC support and they said "The reason you are experiencing the issue is due to programming of the DVR is corrupt." I'm not sure what that means. But they also suggested I return the box and get it exchanged for a new one.

My question is what is the newest model they are offered so I know I am getting a current one? The model I have now says it's a Motorola DCT6416 III.
