I don't know but since I'm moving to Austin I'm happy to see them added to the list and not have to wait until D10/11. Now I'd just like to know when they'll fire it up?

I wonder is they looked at how far the spots on SW1/2 would go and discovered they could add these markets to the existing beams?

What happened to the rest of the markets they announced before? Lots of them are missing from this list.
This is the "first" official word from D* that I know of....some other lists as you
have noted, appear to be not correct or incomplete..

Bullet points have ruined our society.

"By June of this year, DIRECTV will have activated local HD programming in 16 more previously announced markets for a total of 36 markets, representing 58 percent of U.S. TV households."

Beginning 3rd quarter? That would be July right after the current group or technically perhaps August. The guy at the avsforums who has it in with directv said there would be a longer gap between the groups and the last 12 wouldnt start until september or october and that would be it for the year.....who to believe

are calling Quarter 3)

These lower rank DMA additions must have some impact related to sports markets.
