Dangerous to install preamp?

Just as a desperation move to solve pesky OTA problem would I cause damage to the system if I were to install the preamp from a Winegard MS-2000 directly in-line to my existing SensarII. Just hoping a litle more "oomph" will be the cure.
Thanx in advance for your input.

Your SensarII should be amplified already, so I wouldn't imagine you would be any better off adding additional amps. Even if it wasn't dangerous, I don't think it would help you.

samiwax, in another thread you wrote that you have Sensar II w/o preamp. Are you sure about that? VOOM usually ships Sensar II with a built-in pre-amp. And if the antenna is not getting voltage, this might be causing your problems.

What size dish are you using with Voom

Connecting 2 DVI-1 components to TV
