Quite often threads in various areas (including the front page) just say that something is happening today or tomorrow or make no reference to date all. This is fine for some things but when the subject is an outage, carriage dispute, earnings announcement etc it can be confusing.

Could we please mention dates? I think it would help.

Many members, when starting a thread, use "Today" or "Tomorrow" in the the thread title. When tomorrow comes, the title is no longer accurate (or worse, misleading), even though the thread may still be relevant. We need to keep that in mind when we (members) start threads.

Look at the date.

We don't edit the front page posting once posted as it serves as a historical timeline. Again the date it was posted is listed directly under the subject. :)

I know that Scott but not everyone sees that date. I just thought it would make sense not to use words like "Today' in thread titles that don't get edited.

Just a suggestion though. If you want to use those terms it is your board.

Today (05-02-11) works well.;)
Of course when I read a post that refers to yesterday, today or tomorrow I always look at the post date.........
