This story just keeps getting weirder...

He was found in a sitting position, in a chair. Hands tied behind his back, at the wrists. Rope tied around his neck and genitals.

Auto-erotic asphyxiation is one possibility, but how'd he get his tied hands behind his back, and why? Something doesn't quite add up here...

Reminds me of a Michael Connelly novel that dealt with a case that involved just that strange crap - auto-erotic asphyxiation. Its bizarre, but apparently a real thing.

It may not have been auto. Thailand is a very easy place to find any kind of sexual vise you choose.

...I guess death by bondage and discipline sounds better than hanging death while masturbating in a closet. What is funnier and I'm not making this up ,is that the movie he was filming over there was called "STRETCH".

It is a rather hideous and non-illustrious capstone to an otherwise good career and life... I read the same thing about the title of the movie he was there to work on and thought it rather oddly (and perversely) ironic...

The "Kung Fu" star's family believes now that there was foul play involved and that his death was neither a suicide nor accidental since his hands were tied, immobilized behind his back, which means another person had been present.

Carradine, 72, was found Thursday, nude with a rope around his neck and another around his genitals. His body was in a sitting position, with the rope tied around the closet bar.

Some reports also mentioned a chair, but that could just be due to the "sitting position" issue...

Well that makes more sense then. But it still sounds like David paid for a little bondange and it went terribly wrong. You can get just about any thing you want over there in Thailand: girl or boy or some say the best of both ?- shemales . Someone went a little over board it seems. I guess the official autopsy will tell us if he was choked to death, heart attack, if he was beat etc.

What the heck is a "shemale"???

Yeah, the official autopsy will reveal the actual cause of death, I'm sure......

OMG... Okay, that's something I just don't need to know any more about. TMI...

The Carradine family (from an article I read this morning) now want the FBI to investigate. It'll be interesting to see what they turn up, if they do indeed investigate...

Part of me thinks if I was the family, I'd just want to move on, and let his legacy be his career and not his ending moments.

Exactly. Think of Bob Crane (Hogan's Heros) and how that death story messed up his memory. Pretty much the same thing.

People tend to want closure, so if the family honestly believes there was foul-play (no pun intended) involved, they want to know what really happened. This isn't always in the best interest of the family (knowing the answer is often worse than not knowing), nor is it always in the best interest of the deceased (potentially a very tainted legacy).

So, I agree completely...just let it go and leave something of his legacy intact...

.... In 1983 my father was having his 3rd round of cancer.

....Two years after his passing my mom got the word of terminal cancer.

....In 2003 my brother was diagnosed terminal with two kinds of cancer.

Sweating things a bit? I sure would be. Let's hope you'll dodge that bullet.

You would have to be "well hung" to do that.;)

Sorry, couldn't resist.:D

Thanks for the kind words. Actually, I have lived 3 years longer than my brother and closing in on my father. I have a few years to go for my mom. They were were all long time smokers and all had lung cancer. I quit smoking 43 years ago on my 22nd birthday. All seems to be well......

Ah! The smoking problem. Good chance that won't be what gets you.
