I have the 920 staring at me. It has no card nor Digicypher module. I have a big dish outside and a box of assorted C and K band LNB's. What would I need to receive FTA transmissions?

The first thing that comes to mind...is the unit ID# intact? Without that, you're going to be limited to analog. The VC module would only pick up an occasional fixed key broadcast anyway. The signal exists but since last DEC 08, can no longer be subscribed to.
What is the state of the rest of the equipment? Still connected? By all means give it a try. Even if you only used the 920 to move the dish for an FTA box it would be well worth it.
