It appears it has died. Tried rebooting (holding power button for over a minute), and unplugged it it for awhile. No response. Shows correct time; but nothing else.

Anyone have any other suggestions, before I have to pack it up and send it back?

The pushbutton reboot only takes 10-15 seconds to start, so you don't need to hold the button for over a minute. I think there's a light that flashes in the display when it starts the reboot. I'm in the middle of recording the start of the CFL season or I'd test mine to be sure.

How long did you leave it unplugged? Whenever I've had problems, I leave mine unplugged for 10-15 minutes.

Have you called the 800 number? They've always been very helpful. The folks at the 800 number are going to have to give you a return authorization, so they're going to probably insist that you go through some diagnostics.
