HDPVR 530 Question

I have searched for an answer, but no luck. I returned to Mexico, and am using a shared account through a local broker. I've reset the receiver, and the channel guide updates, but am getting a message "Service temporarily not available". The broker tells me that receivers older than the 600 series will no longer work, and I need to buy a current model that he sells for twice the normal price. There are others here with the same problem, so any answers would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

But they will start replacing them maybe in about 1 year for now!

So the broker is account stacking and also trying to swindle his customers? Give him credit for trying to get money on both ends...

530s will for just fine for quite a while. I'd start looking for an alternate, less shady broker.

When Shaw catches someone account stacking, all receivers tied to that account are rendered useless.

Find a new broker who doesn't cheat.
