Well, my living room 622's HDMI port decided to kick the bucket tonight.

So much for calling tech support as the lady on the phone had no clue what HDMI was, and when asking for my service address she hung up on me.

I ended up emailing the ceo email address in hopes that I can get a speedy replacement of the 622, as we have the DHP on our account.

Make a call to "Technical Support." This is a known issue and they will send you another 622 very qucikly. Until then, use your component cables.

622 dead hdmi

A common known problem -- poor design/soldering. Happened to me a few weeks ago. I received a replacement receiver almost as fast as a shipping charge for $14.95.

look at the back of the reciever. is there a screw above the HDMI port. if there isn't then it probally is the port. there should be a screw there if it's been manufactured after the issue was brought to attention. if there is, well then it probally is the port too, but its a known fact that the VIP recievers w/o the screw are known to be bad
