I just set up a 30 inch dish and found AMC1 (Azimuth=175.7) with little problem. I am located at 52.1 Lat/106.4 Long in western Canada. If I move the dish a quarter inch in either direction I am locating a satellite with the satellite finder but cannot lock onto the satellite with the receiver. I don't know which satellites these might be. My receiver searches channels but not satellites. Is there a correlation between 1/4 inch of movement on the dish equals x degrees? I am wanting to locate Galaxy 10R at 200.7 or AMC3 at 155.9 Thanks for your help.

If you talking the pole size is at 1.85", a 1/4" move is about 3 degree, at the same time, your elevation will decline as well.
