digital A/V adapter

I just bought a digital A/V adapter from Apple. Works good on my ipad2 except for the Dishanywhere APP. Sound plays with a black screen.
Other apps works fine so I don't think it is the cable.

It is something that the app writer controls. The app writer has to allow HDMI out and airplay. Dish is probably blocking it because of too many program licensing restrictions, and does not want to have an app that outputs video on some channels and not others.
